SCOPE: SCIENCE OF POLITICS – International Interdisciplinary Conference of Political Research is an annual joint session of workshops aimed at offering a space for academic exchanges on timely political research topics, as well as on the latest advancements within the discipline and the profession(s) of political science. For the 5th edition of SCOPE: SCIENCE OF POLITICS - International Interdisciplinary Conference of Political Research we invite scholars across different disciplines to submit papers, panels or round table proposals around gender and politics, and treat this general theme from various perspectives around the following core topics:
- political representation - feminism(s) and social movements - gender and public policies - political institutions - intersectionality - science(s) - human reproduction policies and sexuality politics - work - media & communication - family policies
The 5th edition (18-19 May 2018) is jointly organized by the Centre for the Study of Equal Opportunity Policies (CPES) of the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Bucharest (FSPUB) and Research Committee 4 (Sociology of Gender) of the International Association of French-Speaking Sociologists (CR4 AISLF), with the support of the EGALES network, le Centre Régional Francophone de Recherches Aavancées en Sciences Sociales (CEREFREA), Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie and the Alumni of the University of Bucharest Association.
The working languages are English and French. The event takes place at Casa Universitarilor, a historical building of the University of Bucharest, located in the city centre, close to most touristic landmarks.
